Juventus interest in Manolas confirmed

Greek giants Olympiakos have moved to confirm that Juventus and few other top clubs are in the race to sign defender Kostas Manolas.

The 23-year-old has become one of the hottest commodities in the summer transfer window after impressing at the 2014 World Cup, and he has so far been linked with Juventus, Arsenal, Roma and Manchester United.

Olympiakos sporting director Christian Karembeu has revealed that the Bianconeri have submitted an official proposal, as have several clubs from England.

“The Bianconeri are interested in the player and have made a good offer,” the Frenchman confessed to Tuttosport.

“They are not the only ones, but… In the last few days interesting proposals have also arrived from England.”

The former France international has moved to suggest that Manolas will not be sold on the cheap, as proposals lower than €10 million will not be considered.

“The price, pretty much is that (€15 million): we are not willing to negotiate for less than €10 million.”

Kostas Manolas, who joined Olympiakos from AEK two years ago, has featured in 49 league matches for the Greek giants, scoring 4 goals in the process, while making three appearances for Greece at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
