Juventus are interested in signing Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid when the summer transfer window begins, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The midfielder is currently on loan at Arsenal, and his spell there has gone trough different phases. While Unai Emery was at the helm, things went gradually downhill for him, but his influence in the way the Gunners play has grown much since Mikel Arteta took over. The North London club reportedly have an option to make the deal permanent for €40 million, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to pay that much, given the significant financial damage the ongoing Coronavirus crisis is certain to inflict to clubs around the world.
Juventus may opt to take advantage of Arsenal’s predicament and move decisively to bring the 23-year-old on another loan to Turin when the crisis abates. In the end, it’s likely to depend on Real and whether Zinedine Zidane can work Ceballos into his own plans or not, but the Serie A champions are hopeful that an offer to pay his wages in full (just under €5m per year) will be enough to convince the Spanish giants.
