Italian champions Juventus are hot on the trail of Flamengo wonderkid Vinicius Junior, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The 16-year-old is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in South America, and his excellent showings at the Under-17 South American Championship have seen top European clubs cast admiring glances his way.
Vinicius was arguably the player of the tournament, scoring 7 goals in 8 appearances.
After Barcelona and Real Madrid, it is now Juventus’ turn to express their interest and the Bianconeri seem determined to win the chase for the youngster’s services.
Namely, the Italian giants are considering matching the player’s €30 million release clause as they believe he’s got the potential required to develop into a world-class footballer.
Vinicius Junior already has a professional contract with Flamengo, meaning the Brazilian giants are set to earn serious cash when he does leave the club.
