Juventus are considering a summer bid for Benfica goalkeeper Jan Oblak, Tuttosport has revealed.
The Bianconeri have yet to sign a long-term replacement for Gianluigi Buffon, whose current deal runs until June 2015.
And while they are looking at a number of talented shot-stoppers, Benfica starlet Jan Oblak appears to be high on their wish list.
Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are also believed to be keen, but the Bianconeri hope they will manage to win the race for the player’s signature.
The Slovenian has only recently managed to establish himself as a first team regular at Estadio da Luz, having spent last few years on various loan spells.
He seems to have done enough to catch the eye of Europe’s top clubs and could be leaving the Eagles as early as this summer.
Gianluigi Buffon missed Italy’s opening World Cup match against England, but he should be on the pitch when the Azzurri face Costa Rica, with Cesare Prandelli’s charges 8/15 to claim maximum points.
