Juventus keen on Davide Astori

Juventus have been showing interest in Cagliari defender Davide Astori, Tuttosport has learned.

The Bianconeri are aware Andrea Barzagli is entering the final stage of his career and they have yet to decide whether the player will need a surgery on his ongoing tendon injury.

And with Angelo Ogbonna failing to impress as well as being linked with a summer exit, Juventus could make a move on Cagliari’s Davide Astori.

The Italy international is widely expected to quit Isolani this summer seeing as how he is not prepared to extend his current deal that is due to expire in a year’s time.

Astori is currently valued at €8 million, with Lazio reportedly keen having failed to recruit Stefan de Vrij from Feyenoord.

The 27-year-old has spent last six years at Cagliari, making 174 league appearances, and he is eager to leave Isolani for greener pastures in the summer transfer window.
