La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Juventus are weighing up move for Flamengo midfielder Mattheus Oliveira.
Mattheus, 18, is the son of Brazil legend Bebeto, and is already starting to show signs of promise.
Juventus scouts watched the player in action at the Under-20 South American Championship in Argentina and have instructed the club chiefs to make an offer for the highly rated midfielder.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that general manager Beppe Marotta and sporting director Fabio Paratici met with the player’s agent Giovanni Branchini yesterday in Turin to enquire about the possibility of signing Mattheus.
Flamengo officials are not too keen on selling the player as they believe his value will rise considerably in the future, but they may not be able to refuse a big money offer.
Mattheus has already made 12 league appearances for the Brazilian giants and is seen as one of the hottest prospects in South America at the moment.
