Il Corriere dello Sport claims that Italian champions Juventus are hot on the trail of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
The Bianconeri have already spent over €150 million on summer recruits having signed Gonzalo Higuain, Marko Pjaca, Mehdi Benatia, Miralem Pjanic and Dani Alves, but with Paul Pogba set to join Manchester United, they plan to recruit another high-quality central midfielder.
Nemanja Matic and Axel Witsel were the first names on their hit-list, but seeing as how neither is expected to join this summer, Juventus have turned their attention to Blaise Matuidi.
The France international has been heavily linked with a Parc des Princes exit for quite some time, and he may be interested in searching for a new challenge after spending last five years with the Saints.
Regardless of the outcome of their pursuit of Matuidi, Juventus will be hot favourites to defend the Serie A trophy, and they are currently priced at 1/2 to go all the way.
