Benfica starlet Bryan Cristante has been the subject of interest from Italian champions Juventus, according to Tuttosport.
Namely, the Bianconeri are on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Andrea Pirlo, and the 19-year-old footballer is one of the first names on their hit-list.
It was Juventus boss Max Allegri who handed Cristante a first team debut in Serie A while at AC Milan and the talented manager hopes to get reunited with the 19-year-old in Turin.
The highly rated midfielder was surprisingly sold to Benfica for €6 million this summer, but the youngster has since only made one substitute appearance in the league for the Eagles.
It is believed that Cristante would be interested in a return to Italy, and it is important to note that he has a clause in his contract that could accommodate a switch to Serie A.
Milan chiefs have come under severe criticism for their decision to cash in on one of club’s hottest prospects, and they could live to regret their actions in case Cristante moves to Juventus.
