Italian giants Juventus are stepping up their interest in Ilkay Gundogan and Ever Banega, according to Tuttosport.
The Bianconeri have experienced all sorts of problems in the centre of the park due to injuries to Sami Khedira, Mario Lemina and Claudio Marchisio, and it appears that Max Allegri has decided to sign a new central midfielder.
Tuttosport has learned that Ilkay Gundogan and Ever Banega remain their primary targets, with Juventus set to make concrete moves.
Both players have been linked with winter exits as they appear to be considering their future, and the Bianconeri aim to lure at least one of them to Turin.
Ilkay Gundogan has been thinking about leaving Borussia for a couple of years now, and while Barcelona and Manchester United seem to have cooled interest in his services, Juventus are clearly hot on the player’s trail.
Meanwhile, Ever Banega has yet to sign a contract extension with Sevilla, meaning he, too, may be leaving for greener pastures soon.
