Italian newspaper Tuttosport understands that Juventus are planning a summer assault on two Serie A hotshots.
The Bianconeri were hoping to sign a world-class striker in the January transfer window, but having failed to negotiate a deal for Lisandro Lopez, club officials decided to alter their transfer strategy.
Rather than splashing the cash on high-profile players, Beppe Marotta plans to sign several talented youngsters that offer the best value for money.
Having said that, the Bianconeri have already agreed to sign Sampdoria midfielder Andrea Poli for the 2013/2014 season, but that doesn’t mean their shopping in Genoa is over.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are keen on Samp youngster Mauro Icardi and were delighted to see Napoli’s deadline day bid for the Argentine rejected.
The Old Lady hope to lower the €12 million asking price by including Paolo De Ceglie or Simone Padoin in the deal.
They have in mind a similar arrangement for Parma forward Ishak Belfodil, who was linked with deadline day swap with Fabio Quagliarella.
