Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport claims that Juventus have rekindled their interest in Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez.
It is no secret that the Bianconeri are in the market for a new centre-back after seeing Leonardo Bonucci join AC Milan, and the Uruguayan is one of the names on their hit-list.
The 22-year-old has been unable to establish himself as a first team regular at Vicente Calderon despite showing a great deal of potential.
Gimenez is, therefore, considering his options and Juventus officials are hoping he will not be extending his deal that runs until June 2018.
Despite his fragile age, the centre-back has already made 65 La Liga appearances for Atletico, while he has 33 Uruguay caps to his name.
