Juventus are the latest club to have been linked with Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez, according to Tuttosport.
Despite some very promising showings this term, the Bianconeri officials have not given up on signing a world-class centre forward and are bracing themselves for a big name signing in the summer transfer window.
While Liverpool star Luis Suarez remains the number one target, Juventus are aware luring the player to Turin might prove to be a mission impossible and it appears they are turning their attention towards Mario Gomez.
The Bayern Munich striker is no longer a first team regular at Alianz Arena, and there is every chance he will request to leave the club in the summer, especially if the Bavarians sign Robert Lewandowski.
Gomez, 27, is valued at around €12 million, which makes him a much cheaper alternative than Suarez.
The Germany international has been scoring goals for fun over the last few years, bagging 69 goals in 105 Bundesliga matches for Bayern.
