Italian champions Juventus are reportedly showing interest in Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia, according to Tuttosport.
With Leonardo Bonucci heavily linked with a move to English Premier League and Andrea Barzagli not getting any younger, the Bianconeri are determined to recruit a high-profile central defender who can slot straight into the starting line-up.
Tuttosport claims that former AS Roma stopper Mehdi Benatia is high on their wish list, and he could be arriving in Turin at the end of the season.
The Moroccan never quite managed to nail down a regular starting berth at Allianz Arena and he could decide to leave in search of first team football.
Benatia, 28, has made just 24 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich since joining from AS Roma almost two years ago.
He will probably be on the bench when Benfica host the Bavarians in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, where away win pays 11/20.
