Italian giants Juventus are keeping close tabs on Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Riccardo Saponara, Tuttosport has learned.
The Bianconeri failed to recruit an attacking midfielder who would be used in Max Allegri’s favourite 4-3-1-2 formation last summer and they clearly aim to make things right in the winter transfer window.
Juventus are being linked with quite a few high-profile players, but the latest reports suggest that they have narrowed it down to two footballers.
Borussia Dortmund hotshot Henrikh Mkhitaryan remains the number one target for the Italian champions, who came close to recruiting the Armenian footballer in the summer.
But, with the 26-year-old having since rediscovered his form and managed 5 goals and as many assists in 11 Bundelsiga games, luring him to Turin in January could prove a very difficult task, especially since he would occupy a non-EU place in the squad.
This is why Juventus could turn their attention to Empoli hotshot Riccardo Saponara, who should be available for anywhere between €12m and €15m.
