La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Juventus are hot on the trail of Parma starlet Jose Agustin Mauri.
The Argentine-born midfielder who has been capped at Under-17 level for Italy has exploded onto the big stage this season, catching the eye of top European clubs in the process.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have been alerted of his potential and they are now closely monitoring the 18-year-old footballer.
And with Mauri’s current deal due to expire in June 2016, the Bianconeri could even try to secure a cut-price deal in the winter transfer window.
The highly rated youngster was handed his first team debut in Coppa Italia in December 2013 and he then went on to make two substitute appearances in Serie A last season.
He was surprisingly handed a starting role in this year’s matches against Roma and Udinese, and even scored a goal in the 4-2 defeat to the Zebrette.
