Juventus are readying bid for FC Porto midfielder Fernando, according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.
Even if the winter transfer window has only just finished, the club officials are already working on reinforcements for the 2014/2015 season.
And everything suggests the Bianconeri could recruit another quality player completely free of charge, with Andrea Pirlo, Paul Pogba and Fernando Llorente having all arrived in Turin on a free transfer in the past.
Tuttosport has suggested that Juventus are in talks with Porto midfielder Fernando, who looks set to leave the Dragons on a Bosman deal in the summer.
The Bianconeri see the Brazilian as someone who would increase competition for places in midfield, especially with Claudio Marchisio linked with summer exit.
And the fact that Fernando owns Portuguese passport makes him a perfect candidate seeing as how he would not take up a non-EU spot in the squad.
The 26-year-old has been at Porto since 2007 and has so far amassed 133 league appearances and scored 2 goals.
