Juventus are looking at Sime Vrsaljko and Silvan Widmer as they search for long-term successor to Stephan Lichtsteiner, Tuttosport can reveal.
The Bianconeri hope to persuade the Swiss defender to extend his contract for another season and then sign a talented youngster next summer who would act as a back-up to Lichtsteiner before nailing down a regular starting berth.
As a result, Juventus officials have been monitoring the performances for Sassuolo full-back Sime Vrsaljko, a player who has been on their radar for over a year.
The Croatian left Genoa to join the Neroverdi in the summer, and has been in fine form since, featuring in eight Serie A fixtures.
At the same time, Juventus have been keeping close tabs on Udinese right-back Silvan Widmer, who has established himself as a first team regular after Dusan Basta had joined Lazio.
The Swiss defender is valued at €6 million and his contract at Friuli is due to expire in June 2016.
