Juventus keeping tabs on Bojan Krkic
Juventus are preparing a summer move for Barcelona youngster Bojan Krkic, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 20-year-old has seen limited playing time at Camp Nou after his breakthrough season and he could decide to leave the club at the end of the season.
Krkic has a contract until 2015 and is reportedly happy to wait for his chance in Pep Guardiola’s side, but could be tempted to leave if the right offer comes in.
Juventus have shown interest in the Barca hotshot as they look to further reinforce their attack, with the Bianconeri pondering a summer move for the striker.
The Old Lady plans to get rid of Vincenzo Iaquinta, Amauri and Jorge Martinez, thus leaving space for a new forward.
There is no doubt Krkic would be a great signing for Juventus, provided he is given enough playing time at Olimpico, although Juve could face stiff competition from Liverpool.
Liverpool readying bid for Dutch midfield maestro
Liverpool are pondering a move for Barcelona midfielder Ibrahim Afellay, according to AS.
The Dutch international has only joined the Catalans in January but failed to make an impact at Camp Nou.
Liverpool are the latest club to have joined the race for the 24-year-old, and Reds are now preparing a summer bid for Barca midfielder.
Arsenal have been tracking the Dutch star for quite a while now and they even had a £7.5 million bid rejected last summer, with the Gunners likely to reignite their interest at the end of the season.
Afellay has seen his chances limited at Barca and he is unlikely to earn a starting place at Camp Nou despite possessing incredible potential.
The Catalans could be tempted into selling the 24-year-old as they hope to raise money for an assault on Cesc Fabregas, and it is no wonder Liverpool and Arsenal have made their interest official.
Sevilla want Quique Sanchez-Flores
Sevilla have expressed desire for Atletico Madrid coach Quique Sanchez-Flores to take over the reigns from current boss Gregorio Manzano at the end of the season.
Los Rojiblancos have already sacked one coach this season as Antonio Alvarez was replaced by Gregorio Manzano.
However, the change of personnel didn’t bring the expected uptrend in fortunes as Sevilla are on the verge of elimination from Europe, while they largely struggle in La Liga and the club chiefs want to appoint a new coach at the end of the season.
According to Marca, Sevilla are pondering a move for Atletico Madrid boss Quique Sanchez-Flores and they have already established contact with his representatives.
The interesting thing is that both Flores and Manzano share the same agent, Manolo Garcia Quillon, who has excellent relations with both Atletico and Sevilla.
With Atletico bosses far from impressed with Flores’ reign at Vicente Calderon, they are likely to allow him to leave for Sevilla.
Los Rojiblancos have become famous for appointing very young coaches, although looking at Flores’ latest results, I am not sure this would be a good move for the club from Sevilla.
