The Italian champions are considering an option of bringing the Uruguay international during summer as potential replacement for either Mario Mandzukic or Alvaro Morata.
The Old Lady are already preparing a move for the Paris Saint-Germain striker in the summer, should one of the two aforementioned forwards leave Juventus at the end of the season, writes Tuttosport.
Alvaro Morata could be the first one to leave Turin, as Real Madrid are reportedly readying a bid to bring their former player back to Santiago Bernabeu and Juventus want to be prepared for his potential departure.
In addition, high-flying Paolo Dybala has been targeted by Barcelona and Juventus could be faced with a tough task of holding to their prised possession at the end on the current campaign.
Max Allegri has plenty of options upfront with Mandzukic, Morata, Dybala and Zaza all vying for places in the team at the moment, but Juventus are eager to bolster the competition in the attack with a quality striker such as Edinson Cavani.
The Uruguay striker is said to be unhappy with life in Paris and could be on the move at the end of 2015-16 season.
