Juventus latest in line for Kramer
Juventus are the latest high-profile side to have joined the race for Bayer Leverkusen starlet Christoph Kramer, Tuttosport can reveal.
The Bianconeri are not exactly spoilt for options in the centre of the park and they are exploring the possibility of recruiting the talented midfielder next summer.
But, with Real Madrid and few more top clubs also keen on the Germany international, Juventus are likely to face stiff competition for the player’s signature.
Christoph Kramer is currently on loan at Borussia M’gladbach, but he has a contract until June 2017 with Bayer Leverkusen, although die Werkself face a real battle on their hands in an attempt to keep hold of their prized asset.
The 23-year-old seems to have already nailed down a regular starting berth in the national team and he was part of Germany’s title-winning squad at the 2014 World Cup.
Last season was Kramer’s first in German Bundesliga and he largely impressed, scoring 3 goals in 33 league outings.
Monaco starlet wanted Marseille switch
French daily newspaper L’Equipe has learned that Monaco forward Lucas Ocampos was interested in a summer switch to Marseille.
OM boss Marcelo Bielsa recently revealed the Argentine was one of the twelve players he had tried to lure to Stade Velodrome, and it appears that the deal wasn’t that far from being completed.
According to L’Equipe, the player himself was tempted by the proposal from Marseille, but it was Monaco chiefs who refused to let him leave.
The Principality club were short of quality up front and they couldn’t afford to lose another highly rated attacker.
After starting mere 11 league fixtures last season, Ocampos seems to have ensured regular playing at Stade Louis II this season.
The 20-year-old should be on the pitch when Monaco face Lyon away tomorrow evening, with Leoardo Jardim’s charges priced at 19/10 for the win.
Bastia recruit Florian Marange
Ligue 1 outfit Bastia have announced the signing of full-back Florian Marange from Sochaux via the club’s official Twitter account.
The 28-year-old arrives on a free transfer after leaving les Lionceaux and he has signed a two-year contract at Stade Armand Cesari.
Marange is expected to vie Malian defender Drissa Diakite for a starting berth on the right-hand side.
The experienced defender began his career at Bordeaux and went on to make 83 league appearances before joining Crystal Palace last summer.
Marange ended his contract with the Eagles in January without featuring in a single Premier League game, joining Sochaux on a short-term deal.
The right-back made 15 Ligue 1 appearances for les Lionceaux, scoring 1 goal in the process, but could not help the club avoid relegation to the second division.
