According to Talk Sport, Juventus are currently leading the chase to secure the services of Alvaro Pereira from Porto.
His future at the Portuguese club has been under some doubt for a while now as English Premier League club Chelsea are also apparently keeping tabs on him.
However, the Serie A Champions could win the race after his agent admitted that talks were ongoing with the Turin side.
He said: “There is strong pressing from Juventus ahead of all. Inter have spoken directly with Porto, while I only had a chat with Napoli, nothing else.”
With so many teams chasing his signature, then it could start a bidding war between all of these European teams.
The 26-year-old will know what an important decision this is in his career as he is in his best days as a player.
He will surly want to go to a team that will be playing in the Champions League, which could rule Inter Milan out of the move.
Juventus were superb last season, remaining unbeaten in the league and should they add the defender to the squad, would be in a great position to do something similar this year.
It is most certainly a story to keep an eye on in this fascinating summer transfer window.
