La Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Italian champions Juventus are keeping close tabs on Sporting Braga starlet Danilo Barbosa da Silva.
The Bianconeri are preparing for life without Paul Pogba, who is expected to leave the club in the summer and believe the Brazilian youngster would be a good long-term replacement.
Juventus officials have already contacted the player’s agent Jorge Mendes and are expected to close the deal ahead of the summer transfer window.
Danilo, who is currently valued at €15 million, only joined Sporting Braga last summer from Vasco da Gama, but in turn enjoyed a bright start to his career in Portugal.
The 18-year-old immediately nailed down a regular starting berth at Estadio AXA and managed 2 goals and as many assists in 14 Primeira Liga starts.
He seems to have done enough to catch the eye of Juventus scouts and is widely tipped to continue his career in Turin.
