Juventus are stepping up their efforts to sign Sao Paulo defender Rhodolfo, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Brazilian giants have just signed Lucio on a free transfer from Juventus and we could easily see another defender go in the opposite direction.
Centre-back Rhodolfo has long been a target for the Bianconeri, but Sao Paulo didn’t want to sell him without signing a proper replacement.
With Lucio having arrived at Estadio Cicero Pompeu de Toledo, the club chiefs are now willing to negotiate a sale.
The highly rated defender is also in the process of becoming a communitarian player, meaning that he wouldn’t take up a non-EU place in the squad.
That is another reason why Juventus are stepping up their interest in the player who is held in high regard by boss Antonio Conte.
Rhodolfo is valued at €8 million, but the only problem is he is also followed by Milan and Roma.
