Juventus linked with Real Sociedad star Mikel Merino

Juventus are interested in signing Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Italian giants Juventus are looking at signing new players for next season and beyond, and that Merino is on their radar.

Merino has been on the books of Sociedad since 2018 when he joined after leaving Newcastle United. The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the best and most important players for Sociedad over the years. The Spain international has made 17 starts and five substitute appearances in La Liga this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in the process.

Juventus are second in the Serie A table at the moment with 57 points from 27 matches, as many as 15 points behind leaders Inter Milan. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad currently find themselves seventh in the La Liga table with 40 points from 27 games, as many as 15 points behind fourth-placed Atletico Madrid.
