According to a recent report from Bild, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has met with the dad of Julian Brandt in order to talk about the possibility of a summer transfer. The 22 year old has been with Bayer Leverkusen since back in 2014, but in recent months, it has seemed like more and more of an inevitability that he’d be leaving for pastures new. The youngster made his debut for the German national team back in 2016, and ever since then he’s been able to establish himself as a regular.
Brandt currently has a release clause of £21 million which, in the eyes of many, will be seen as a bargain. He is also considered to be a target for Liverpool, who have had their eyes on him for quite some time.
In many ways, it seems like Juventus see Brandt as a sitting duck – and it’s only a matter of time before they make a move.
