According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Juventus have officially put forward an interesting offer of around £58.3 million for Ajax star Matthijs de Ligt. The youngster has been a source of great intrigue in world football over the course of the last few months, with many top European sides going after his signature. The deal would see Ajax receive £49.3 million upfront with £9 million or so in additional fees, with Juve supposedly agreeing a five-year contract worth around £10.7 million per season with de Ligt’s controversial agent Mino Raiola.
Ajax want a higher fee than that, though, by around another £8-9 million, in order to agree to sell the popular teenager.
Apparently, Juve are confident that de Ligt would much rather join them than move to Paris Saint-Germain which is the reason behind their lower offer. PSG, allegedly, have already hit Ajax’s mark when it comes to their valuation of the player.
