According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, both Juventus and Napoli are interested in the possibility of signing Roma defender Kostas Manolas during the summer transfer window. They are said to be more than willing to pay his £32 million buyout clause, which is hardly surprising, given that they’re two of the top clubs in Italian football right now. Manolas has been turning heads in the realm of European football for quite some time now, to the point where many have considered it a given that he’d eventually make a bigger step up to an even better European side.
Manolas is quite easily one of the best defenders in world football, but there are still some question marks as to whether or not he’d get consistent first team football with Italian champions Juve. With Napoli, it seems almost obvious to suggest that he’d be a key man within the first team.
