Italian champions Juventus have received a welcoming boost in their pursuit of Schalke starlet Julian Draxler, Tuttosport can reveal.
The Miners were initially reluctant to cash in on their prized asset, but the latest developments may persuade them to accept the latest offer from the Bianconeri, believed to be worth €30 million in total.
Namely, with the club failing to offload Kevin-Prince Boateng, who earns €8m per campaign, and Matija Nastasic suffering a season-ending injury, Schalke could really use the cash at the moment.
They will probably have to buy a replacement for the Serbian defender, so they might reconsider the proposal submitted by Juventus.
The Bianconeri coach Max Allegri is determined to sign an attacking midfielder by the time the summer transfer window closes and while he is also looking at Isco and Hernanes, Julian Draxler remains his number one target.
The Germany international has managed to prove his fitness following a difficult injury and he fared pretty well in the opening two fixtures of the new season.
