According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has made a pact with Cristiano Ronaldo that the forward will score at least 40 goals throughout the course of the season with the Italian champions. This comes in the wake of some speculation that suggests Juve are putting the needs of the veteran ahead of the needs of the actual club, which has leaked into their transfer dealings, too.
Juventus are easily the strongest team in Italian football, but they clearly want to enhance that to include all of Europe as they go in search of Champions League success. Ronaldo could quite easily be the key to all of that, and therefore they are willing to put any and all other concerns to the side in order to do what he wants them to do.
Given Sarri’s history with player control, it doesn’t seem like all too much of a stretch.
