Juventus pondering Louis van Gaal swoop

Juventus have approached Louis van Gaal as the Bianconeri want the Dutchman to replace Luigi Del Neri at the end of the season.

After last night’s 2:2 draw with Chievo ended Juventus’ Champions League hopes, Gigi Del Neri’s position at the club is in real danger and the Bianconeri are thought to be searching for a new boss.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that the Old Lady are keen on former Bayern boss Louis van Gaal, who is available after leaving the Bavarians a couple of months ago.

Beppe Marotta’s assistant, Fabio Paratici has reportedly held talks with Van Gaal’s representative, with the Dutch manager set to jump at the opportunity to take over the reigns at Olimpico.

After failing to lure Luciano Spalletti and Roberto Mancini from Zenit and Manchester City respectively, Juventus chiefs have decided to make Louis van Gaal an offer seeing that he is one of just a handful of top coaches available at the moment.

Napoli’s Walter Mazzarri and former Juventus midfielder Antonio Conte are also in the mix.
