Tottenham Hotspur could be in a very tough situation in regards to Christian Eriksen! The Premier League club have been mentioned as ready to sell the Danish playmaker this summer if someone came with the right offer. Real Madrid were in the conversation for signing him, but now that English transfer window is over, Spurs might be reluctant to let the player go.
But that means that he would be entering his last year of the contract whilst still at the club. With the renewal not seeming anywhere near, Eriksen could leave the club in June 2020 as a free agent. And that is what Juventus are hoping for!
According to AS, Juve will play the waiting game, as they have been known for signing players on a free transfer – as we have seen this summer with Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot. As Juventus are not English club, they would be allowed to negotiate with the player starting from 1 January 2020 without asking Tottenham for permission. Unless the Dane signs a new contract before then…
