Juventus have turned down bids from Leicester City and Borussia Dortmund for Merih Demiral, according to Sky in Italy.
Leicester have an established centre-back partnership in Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans, but they appear to be looking to add some quality squad competition to help maintain their currently high level of performance. To that end, they had informed Juventus they would be willing to pay as much as €30 million for the services of Demiral.
However, Juventus were never going to settle for that amount, having apparently already rejected a €40 million offer from Dortmund. The Bundesliga side are known for signing quality youngsters and developing them into top players for huge profit, and it seems they had the 21-year-old Turk marked as their next project. But with €40 million obviously not enough to prize him away from the Serie A champions, it remains to be seen whether they decide to pursue their interest any further.
Demiral has made only five appearances in all competitions for Juventus this season.
