According to Tuttosport, Juventus have officially rejected a bid from Real Madrid for Miralem Pjanic. Real have looked towards Pjanic as someone who can replace Mateo Kovacic, who went to Chelsea on loan last week, although their reported offer of €60 million has been turned down by the Italian giants.
Pjanic, who was also linked to Barcelona earlier this summer, has a deal that is scheduled to last until 2021 – although Juventus are eager to extend that in the wake of this additional speculation over his future. The 28-year-old has been with Juve ever since 2016 when he joined from fellow Italian club Roma, where he spent five years making a name for himself.
Juventus will be hoping to keep their squad as strong as possible ahead of the new season, especially in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo arriving at the club which has improved their chances of Champions League success this year.
