Juventus’ exit from the Champions League at the hands of FC Porto in the round of 16 has sparked a series of rumours suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo would like to leave the Old Lady and rejoin Real Madrid.
Asked about the subject recently, Real head coach Zinedine Zidane refused to rule out the possibility of the Portuguese superstar returning, while Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo said he wasn’t surprised by the rumours. As for Ronaldo himself, he posted what looked like a passionate confirmation of his commitment to Juventus in Instagram, insisting that the focus turns to Cagliari in the Serie A.
Nonetheless, Corriere dello Sport (via AS) now report that Juventus have made a calculation to determine at what price they could afford to let the 36-year-old go this summer, a year before his contract expires, and apparently they’ve come to a figure of €29 million. It seems a fair price which in itself could attract suitors given Ronaldo’s quality, despite his age, but his extremely high wages would likely be a big problem for any of them in the current financial climate.
