Juventus are on the verge of completing the signing of forward Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo, reports Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.
Having been impressed by the player’s performances in Serie B, the Bianconeri acquired the player on co-ownership deal in the summer, sending Luca Marrone in the opposite direction.
And with the player shining in the top flight as well, Juventus officials are determined to purchase the remaining half of the forward’s contract at the earliest opportunity.
The Bianconeri are expected to wrap up the deal as soon as the transfer window reopens in January, but they will allow Berardi to finish the season at Sassuolo.
Despite missing the start of the season due to a three-match ban, Berardi has turned on the style of late, netting 6 times in 8 Serie A appearances.
His last-gasp equalizer at Stadio Olimpico helped Juventus close the gap behind Roma to just one point, with the Old Lady now 2/3 to defend the league trophy.
