It looks like Juventus are truly building for the future. After signing Luca Pellegrini and Merih Demiral, Juve are expected to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax after prolonged negotiations, but they have also signed Cristian Romero from Genoa.
The champions of Italy have completed the €26m signing of Genoa defender and instantly loaned the 21-year-old back to the Rossoblu. Juventus confirmed on Tuesday that the player was having a medical and it was then that it became obvious the Old Lady will bring Romero from Genoa. He signed a five-year contract which is just another transfer for Juventus with the future in mind. That is especially the case about their defence, where players like Giorgio Chiellini are deep into their thirties and new players will be necessary to make the back four younger.
Romero joined Genoa from boyhood club Belgrano last year for a reported €1.7m, but in his 27 Serie A appearances he impressed to earn a big move.
