Juventus step up chase for Inaki Williams

Basque media outlet Deia understands that Juventus have been stepping up their efforts to sign Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams.

The 22-year-old has seen his stock rise a great deal over the last couple of years and he is already being tipped to join a top European club.

It is believed that Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool and Juventus lead the chase at the moment, with the Bianconeri the first to have made concrete moves.

According to Deia, the Bianconeri sporting director Fabio Paratici has made signing Williams one of his priorities for the summer transfer window and he has informed both the player and his employers of his intentions.

As they usually do when it comes to heavy interest in their star players, los Leones are referring interested sides to the forward’s release clause that stands at €50 million.

Inaki Williams has so far scored 11 goals in 70 La Liga appearances for Athletic Club, mostly operating as a winger.
