According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are still interested in the possibility of signing Mauro Icardi and could make an official move during next year’s summer transfer window. The Paris Saint-Germain forward is on loan from Serie A side Inter Milan, following a dramatic late move in this year’s summer transfer window. Juve were known to be heavily interested in the Argentine, but in the end, they just couldn’t pull the trigger on getting a deal over the finish line.
Icardi almost certainly isn’t going to be returning to Inter for very long at the conclusion of his current deal with French champions PSG, but even with that being the case, Juventus can’t afford to sit back and relax.
While it makes a lot of sense for Icardi to choose Juve as his next destination, there’s no guarantee that he can’t be tempted by an improved offer from a different club.
