According to a recent report from AS, Italian champions Juventus are set to make a move to try and sign Ivan Rakitic during the January transfer window. The Barcelona star was heavily linked with a move away during the more recent summer transfer window, but it never felt as if Barca were proactive enough in getting a sale done. Both parties wanted to happen, but they just couldn’t quite get it over the finish line.

The Croatian is clearly interested in trying out something new away from La Liga, and for the longest time Inter Milan seemed to be in pole position in the race for his signature.

Now, though, their Serie A title rivals Juventus have made a move, and it’ll be interesting to see whether or not the two wind up getting into something of a bidding war. Then again, Inter may not feel the need to make a move now.
