Serie A champions Juventus are understood to have tabled the formal transfer proposal for CSKA star Aleksandr Golovin, according to Sky Sport sources.
Bianconeri are some way off from CSKA Moscow’s €25 million valuation of the Russian international who made a huge impact in his country’s opening World Cup victory over Saudi Arabia 5-0.
Golovin struck a goal and registered two assists in his team’s romping win over woeful Saudis and is expected to be a major force for his team against Egypt as well. The World Cup hosts lock horns with the Pharaos on Tuesday afternoon and have been made 24/23 favourites to claim three points that would put them one step closer towards the knockout stages.
Juventus have allegedly submitted proposal worth €17 million plus performance-related incentives but the Russian side are said to have turned down the initial approach from the Italian behemoths.
The 22-year-old has a long list of admirers which includes the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.
