According to reports in Italy, Italian giants Juventus are interested in bringing Timo Werner to Serie A. The Old Lady have been making some substantial moves in the transfer window over the last few months, with the most notable being the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid. Alas, this move is said to be more focused on Mario Mandzukic, with the club believing that Werner could serve as a long term replacement for the Croatian.
Werner, 22, has a contract with RB Leipzig that is set to run until 2020, although Juve are said to be interested in luring him away before that in 2019. Timo has been a consistent force since bursting onto the scene in Bundesliga, although some fans were left disappointed during the World Cup after he failed to score for Germany as they crashed out of the tournament at the group stage. Despite that, he’s still viewed as one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe.
