The Italian champions Juventus have reportedly reignited interest in Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, according to Tuttosport.
The Turin-based media outlet claims Bianconeri are prepared to launch an assault on former Valencia midfielder who was on Juventus’ radar well before he even joined the Catalan giants.
Andre Gomes returned this week to Barcelona training after an extended summer break following his participation in the Confederations Cup in Russia but has already managed to hit the headlines in Italy as Juventus ponder an assault.
Andre Gomes was only signed last summer for a transfer fee in excess of €35 million. The Portuguese international has a €100 million release clause in his contract but Juventus are hoping Barcelona would accept a significantly lower amount for their midfielder.
In the meantime, Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo included Andre Gomes in a possible player exchange deal with Barcelona.
With Neymar gone to Paris, Barcelona have identified Paulo Dybala as a potential successor and are reportedly willing to do business with Bianconeri by offering Andre Silva and Rafinha for the Argentine star.
