Juventus won’t spend in January

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli insists they will not be making any new signings in the January transfer window.

The Bianconeri are on second place in the Serie A, despite their poor start to the season.

“We are second in the League and we have been doing really well lately,” Cobolli Gigli said on Sky Sport Italia.

“Furthermore we have been doing great things in the Champions League.

“We want to fight for the title and European glory, but we will be getting some great players, like David Trezeguet and Gigi Buffon, back from injury in January.

“Therefore we don’t expect to buy or sell any players during the transfer window.

“Obviously Alessio Secco and Jean-Claude Blanc will have a look and make their own decisions.”
