Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa is excited by the prospect of a move to Manchester United, but is undecided on his future.
Kagawa arrived in Japan early on Wednesday morning following a whirlwind trip to Manchester to meet with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
The 23-year-old has become hot property after the club’s sporting director Michael Zorc revealed he has turned down a contract extension past his current deal, which expires in 2013.
Kagawa’s agent Thomas Kroth confirmed to Goal.com that the pair had flown to Manchester on Tuesday, before the Japan international returned to his homeland, where he spoke with reporters shortly after his arrival.
He said several clubs had contacted him on his future, and revealed that playing in England’s Premier League interested him.
“I have not decided yet,” Kagawa said.
“Ferguson gave me good words. Several clubs contacted me but I cannot say which is the best.
“I want to choose the club where I can challenge. It would be good to play in the Premier League.”
Kagawa also spoke about leaving the German champions Dortmund who he said had provided great support.
“The supporters treat me as if I have been playing for some decade for them and I feel that they love me,” he said.
“The coach, my team-mates, everything was fantastic. The coach told me to come back when I want.”
