The future of Kai Havertz of Bayer Leverkusen remains undecided at this point in time, according to German journalist Raphael Honigstein.
The attacking midfielder has become one of the hottest prospects in European football, and as such, he has expectedly been linked with a host of top clubs across the continent. His attacking versatility, enviable skill and obviously enormous football intelligence has reportedly attracted the attentions of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea, and more recent reports added fuel to the fire by claiming the Germany international would be open to joining a club which doesn’t secure Champions League involvement for next season. That, in fact, might also indicate that he could decide to stay put, with Leverkusen failing to make the cut for UEFA’s elite club competition this time around.
Some outlets had suggested that the 21-year-old, who scored 17 and assisted nine goals in 43 appearances in all competitions this season, had chosen Chelsea as his preferred destination, but Honigstein is adamant that all such reports are wide of the mark at the moment and that no decision will be made any time soon.
