Kaiserslautern swoop for Czech duo

Newly promoted Bundesliga side FC Kaiserslautern have completed the double signing of Czech internationals Jan Simunek and Jan Moravek. Defender Simunek, 23, has signed a four year contract while attacking midfielder Moravek has joined on loan for the 10/11 season from Schalke 04.

Simunek joined Wolfsburg from Sparta Praha in 2007 and managed to make around 40 appearances for the Wolves in his three year stay at the Volkswagen Arena.

Moravek joined Schalke last year from Bohemians for €2.5m. He made his debut for the Czech Republic in March 2010 against Scotland.

Apart from Simunek and Moranek, Kaiserslautern also have another Czech player in their ranks- midfielder Jiri Bilek.
