Kakà admits he was close to City

In a recent interview with Sportsmediaset, the Brazilian Kakà has once again reaffirmed that parting ways with Ac Milan was never a likely option, although he did consider leaving at one stage.

“I thought about what I had won here, and also the things that I still want to win in these colours, and because of that, I couldn’t leave,” Kaka declared in the interview.

“Another decisive factor was the affection of the fans, which was extremely important for me. I never wanted to leave this club, and this was proven by the fact that I rejected all of the offers that came my way,” he added.
