AC Milan ace Kaka defended their performance in the 1-0 win over Chievo on Sunday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men failed to impress and won the match thanks to a penalty goal by Kaka.

“The team performance was not spectacular, like the game against Lecce, but the important thing was to get the three points,” the Brazilian said.

Kaka was awarded a penalty that should not have, as he was caught by Chievo ace Simone Bentivoglio outside the box.

“With regards to the penalty incident, I spoke to Bentivoglio and he admitted there was contact,” Kaka continued.

“Whether it was inside or outside the penalty area is just a matter of centimetres and that was for the referee to judge – I don’t like to talk about refereeing.

“Now we will just try and do our best because if we keep picking up the wins then we can easily win the Scudetto. First we will concentrate on points, then we will look at the table.”
