The Daily Telegraph is reporting this afternoon that Real Madrid midfielder Kaka could be on his way back to AC Milan this summer.
The Brazilian has had a mixed time in Spain over the last few years and now it is thought that Milan are preparing an approach that sees him return to Italy.
Milan have already lost two players this summer of course – Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva – so they are hoping to strengthen in time for the new season.
The fans would certainly like to see Kaka move back to the club. He was a massive success the first time around and could be part of the overhaul at the San Siro.
In terms of where Madrid stand on this, it has been widely reported that they are after Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric, so perhaps Kaka will make way for the Croatian.
Given his wages and profile, Kaka isn’t the type of player you want sitting on the bench and the man himself will be desperate for more consistent first team football.
The 30-year-old is still in the peak of his career and perhaps a move back to Milan – where he won the Champions League in 2007 – is the way forward.
One thing seems certain, this is a transfer story that will get plenty of attention.
