Brazil have to do without midfielder Kaka for their World Cup qualifier with Ecuador this Saturday. The player has not fully recovered from a foot injury.

“We have spoken to Dunga and we’ve decided that, because he is still not in his best form and because he is still feeling some pain, he will stay in Brazil,” said team doctor Jose Luis Runco.

However, Brazil have a good back-up plan as Kaka should be replaced with AC Milan teammate Ronaldinho.

Kaka will fly straight to Porto Alegre, where Brazil host Peru in another qualifier next week.
